At Luminous, we take a unique approach to treating mental health, substance abuse and addictive behavior for teenagers. We work within the education system during school hours which helps boost immediate results when it comes to disruptive and destructive behavior (for example defiance or reckless driving) as well as increasing academic performance while decreasing absenteeism. For this reason our programme is exclusively geared towards teenagers. Our three-to-one client-to-staff ratio allows us to provide a more personal service than other residential treatment programs available.
We can tailor each student’s treatment programme by assessing the exact needs of their family and school environment that enables them to not fall behind in academics at all whilst undergoing treatment services at our center. Our method involves identifying issues early on in order to break any negative cycles sooner rather than later and achieve faster results.
Our clients who come to our treatment center are provided with individualized treatment by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare specialists. During their first seven days of treatment, the primary counselor meets with the client five times in total and these are not evaluations but rather dedicated sessions designed to create an action plan based on patient feedback.
