COVID-19 is a rapidly changing situation. Your well-being is our top priority. Together with us, we are working around the clock to take proactive steps to ensure the health and safety of our patients, faculty and staff.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has released an advisory with the aim to help minimize the spread of the virus and help people taking the steps to feel safe.
They also have upgraded and called this coronavirus outbreak as a pandemic/ Due to this, the US government has now advised all not to do global travel for the next 40 days.
At this point, our priority is the health and safety of all our team members and you, our valued patients.
We are ensuring our team is supported and is safe with clear health and hygiene protocols as per government guidelines. We are also taking additional measures for sanitization with the practice of good hygiene, preventing the spread of infection.
It is important to keep yourself informed on COVID-19. Ensure you seek advice on health and hygiene practices and status updates directly from the US Government here –

WHO IS AT RISK?
The elderly and those who are in long-term health situations such as diabetes, cancer, and other chronic diseases are at risk.
Here is the advice from the public health department and the WHO is detailed below.
PUBLIC HEALTH ADVICE:
If you have symptoms:
Avoid going out and take rest at home for seven days if you have either:
● a high temperature
● a new continuous cough
● It will not only help to protect you but also help in spreading the symptoms to others around you while you are infectious.
If you don’t find any symptoms but have been in contact with someone who had symptoms or has been to a high-risk area:
● Stay in isolation; avoid contact with others for 14 days. This may seem difficult, but this is to prevent the spread of the virus, as you may still be a carrier.
● Inform your office and business manager about working from home until you have passed the incubation period.
● If you develop symptoms (fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, or difficulty breathing), please do not leave your home without advice from a GP.
TREATMENT FOR THE CORONAVIRUS
At the moment, symptoms of the coronavirus include cough, fever, breathing difficulties, and other flu-like symptoms. Most patients experience mild symptoms, and those who have died have had pre-existing conditions.
As mentioned before, there is no need to panic as by taking a common-sense approach and practicing good hygiene we can help reduce the spread and protect the more vulnerable in society.
Kind Regards
Team Luminous Care.
